The Curriculum Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our summer programs at Reach Cambridge. This position is perfect for a highly organised and proactive individual with a knack for problem-solving and a background in education or educational operations is desirable.
The ideal candidate is graduate level or above, with significant experience in logistics and administration with excellent people skills. They will take the initiative to anticipate challenges, resolve issues independently, and ensure that all educational program elements run smoothly. The Curriculum Operations Coordinator reports to the Director of Curriculum and will work closely with them in all areas of curriculum planning and logistics to ensure the smooth and successful execution of all academic courses during the summer programmes.

Dates & Hours
The summer 2025 program dates are as follows:
- Program Preparation Week: Monday 30th June – Friday 4th July 2025
- Program 1: Friday 4th July – Saturday 19th July 2025
- Program 2: Saturday 19th July 2025 – Saturday 2nd August 2025
- Program 3: Saturday 2nd August 2025 – Saturday 16th August 2025
Please note – The Curriculum Operations Coordinator should be available during the program preparation week outlined above (30th June – 4th July). There will also be compulsory Induction Training in Cambridge during the Friday and Saturday of your first programme (these dates are shown above). Accommodation for these training days can be arranged if needed. If you have a graduation ceremony scheduled on these days we may be able make alternative arrangements for your on-boarding. Please get in touch if you need to.
Lessons usually take place Monday – Friday, 9am -1pm. We will consider applicants who are available for at least two or all of the programs.
Key Accountabilities
1. Strategic Resource Planning:
- Work closely with teachers to anticipate and plan for resource needs across all courses.
- Conduct resource audits and maintain inventory to ensure efficient procurement and minimal wastage.
- Update resource information and replenish resources as required for all classes.
- Proactively order and prepare materials and equipment to ensure courses are fully supported in advance.
2. Classroom and Facility Management:
- Oversee classroom setup and ensure all teaching spaces are fully equipped and functional ahead of time.
- Manage the availability and proper functioning of all equipment, including projectors, screens, adapters, flipcharts, and other resources.
- Collaborate with STEM staff to ensure specialised classrooms meet specific requirements.
3. Trip and Event Coordination:
- Plan and book transportation and tickets for all course-related trips.
- Organise supervisors and logistics for educational excursions, ensuring smooth execution.
4. Problem Solving and Contingency Planning:
- Act as the first point of contact for any operational issues and provide swift resolutions.
- Identify potential risks and implement contingency plans to mitigate disruptions to programs.
5. Teacher and Team Support:
- Respond promptly to teacher requests throughout the day, balancing competing priorities with professionalism and efficiency.
- Serve as a liaison between teaching staff and other departments to ensure clear and effective communication.
6. Leadership and Collaboration:
- Communicate regularly with senior staff to ensure alignment on curriculum updates and program goals.
- Work in close partnership with the supervisors’ team to coordinate deliveries and resource distribution or update students on any changes.
7. Proactive Initiative:
- Anticipate operational needs and take steps to address them before they arise.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of curriculum operations.
Skills
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to work proactively.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other office productivity tools, with the ability to manage data, update course surveys, and design schedules efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a similar role or educational setting is preferred.
Experience and Knowledge
- Graduate level and above (2:1+) (Desirable)
- Cambridge city, its colleges and history (Desirable)
- Valid First Aid Certificate (Desirable)
- Experience working in an office (Desirable)
- Working with young people (Desirable)
