Reach Cambridge August 2015: Day 17

Another exhilarating day at Reach Cambridge. Another evening packed full with learning and fun. We’ve all had a weekend exploring the further sights of the UK, but Monday morning was a welcome return to the routine of lessons and activities. A highlight of the day was the evening lecture on Education which made us all think about the value of learning alongside issues of inequality and poverty. Jon McIntosh, the founder of Reach Cambridge, spoke about his passion for Reach Academy Feltham. This is a new, innovative, all-through school and a testimony of how a shared vision for change and hope can become a reality for a community. Then in one swift movement of supervisor man power, the very same lecture hall was transformed into a space for the long-awaited Zumba class. There is talk that this may not be the last Zumba class available at Reach. It was that good. Anyone merely walking past the open French windows from the terrace would be fully aware of the intense organised fun taking place within. Time for some much needed relaxation before another day tomorrow. Psyched! Written by Corinne, Head of Pastoral Care
