Summer 2022: Program 1 - Day 10

Engineering students showing the bridges they designed and made

Architecture students with their models!

On Day 10 of Reach Cambridge Program 1, students enjoyed applying their knowledge practically across various subjects. Our Physics class launched water rockets, Engineering students built bridges, and Architecture made 3D models, all of which were incredible culminations of all the learning students have done so far! With the lessons of Program 1 over half way through, it has been incredible to hear from the teachers how impressed they are with the enthusiasm to learn and participate students have demonstrated.

Students giving a presentation on Australia

In the afternoon, students prepared their acts for the Reach Talent Show and flexed their creative muscles through T-Shirt painting, some students creating outfits for the highly-anticipated ‘TH (Trinity Hall) Backstreet Boys’ act we will hear from in the talent show tomorrow. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the World Fair, in which students and staff showcased their culture.  We heard Welsh singing from supervisor Ceridwen, tried TimTams, an Australian snack, learnt some Turkish, and heard about the diverse landscape of Australia, as well as some other brilliant presentations. Reach is so proud of how well the students all came together to appreciate each other’s backgrounds in an enthusiastic, respectful way.

Keep an eye out for more updates tomorrow!
