Summer 2021: Program 1 - Day 6

It’s nearly the end of the first week at Reach Cambridge 2021, and the fun has not stopped! Academic classes continued with the students diving deeper into their lessons and knowledge of their subjects. For the quarantining students, classes also continued virtually, with students invigorated by the hope that tomorrow would be their first full day outside in Cambridge with the rest of the students. With the historic Cambridge tradition of punting coming up on the weekend, the students could not be more excited to fully join the programme!

After the challenging but fun classes, the students explored more of the town with their free time and found some cool lunch spots. In the afternoon, the Reach supervisors had a lot in store for the students, providing a mixed sports event on the large Fitzwilliam College Playing Field, and an arts & crafts session for those who wanted a more chilled-out vibe.

In the evening, the students split into teams and battled it out for the top spot in the Reach Cambridge International Quiz. The quiz tested them on their knowledge of popular music, flags and so much more. Congratulations to the team of students who won, your victory ice cream is on the way! After this, the evening activities included a Mario Kart tournament and some card games on Tree Court  before heading to bed for a very exciting day tomorrow!
