A Royal Visit!

Today the whole of Cambridge (including some very excited Reach staff!) gathered in Market Square waving their flags to welcome Prince William and Kate Middleton on their first visit to the city since marrying and becoming the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The town was abuzz with anticipation. Some Reach supervisors had been waiting since 6am to get a good position in the crowd and catch a glimpse of the passing Prince.

The Royal pair waved at the enormous crowds of cheering students and families who lined the streets from the balcony of the Guildhall, and later made a speech at the Senate House, just around the corner from Trinity Hall College.

While in the area, Kate and Wills opened a centre for homeless people, as well as a hospital in nearby Peterborough .

Thanks Kate and Wills! We are delighted that you came to visit our city. If you are reading this – please come again soon!
