Reach Cambridge August 2015: Day 6

We’re nearing the end of the Global Leaders program here at Reach, but things show no sign of slowing down! The students had a busy morning as usual, learning a lot about the different fields of science, entrepreneurship, and psychology. A quick walk around the different classes revealed novel and exciting ways of learning to communicate and approach problems. This afternoon, we saw our students at their intellectual bests! Our supervisory team spent hours pouring over the personal statements that the students had diligently prepared in order to give them a proper feel of what an academic interview would be like. From Maths to Architecture to Politics and International Relations, the students spent the whole afternoon and evening being interviewed by the staff in their chosen subject and seemed to really thrive at the opportunity of being challenged. Sports on the paddock unfortunately got cancelled due to a spot of bad weather, but late evening sunshine meant that there was time to squeeze in a post-dinner football match before the Negotiation Workshop that took place. The students seemed to thoroughly enjoy learning the craft of negotiation and debate and added it to their ever-growing arsenal of leadership skills that they have been cultivating from the beginning of this week. After this intense workshop, some students chose to wind down by playing board games! All in all, another very intense but hopefully very enjoyable day here at Reach Cambridge!
