Reach Cambridge July 2015: Day 10

It’s been another sensational day here at Reach Cambridge. Upon their arrival, students were each given their own Reach Cambridge T-shirt, and were told that during their stay, they would be given the opportunity to personalise it, and to add some zest. Today was that day. Following this morning’s classes, T-shirt painting proved to be a popular and entertaining activity. Tens of students gathered to paint and design their T-shirts, with masterpieces ranging from T-shirts with names and inspirational quotes, to pictures celebrating Reach and its international ethos. Meanwhile, the supervisors were busy creating elaborate fashion articles, to be used as prizes in the Charity Auction later on this week. Meanwhile, many students elected for an equally creative way to spend their afternoon, and took part in drama group. The group entertained themselves using improvisation and free-style acting, and it is safe to say that everybody enjoyed expressing themselves and using their imagination, both students and supervisors alike. Following on from the roaring success of yesterday’s Personal Statement workshop, this evening’s activities included an Interview Workshop. This provided students the opportunity to learn critical “do’s and “don’ts” from the student supervisors, to practise interview techniques, and to ask general questions concerning university and the application process. Students were once again keen to make the most of this invaluable opportunity. After some hard work at the Interview Workshop, the students enjoyed filling their evenings with Singstar and Wii. An excellent day was enjoyed by all! Written by Daniel, Supervisor
