Reach Cambridge July 2015: Day 7

Saturday brought our first excursion beyond Cambridge and where better for a warm, sunny day than the seaside? We were up early to make the trip to Brighton; a beautiful and traditional seaside city on the south coast. Upon arrival, we made our way to the Royal Brighton Pavilion for our first activities. Here, we explored the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery; a highlight was the captivating nature photography exhibit. The group enjoyed a picnic lunch in the sunshine, entertained by buskers and a brass band. In the afternoon, we headed for Brighton pier and the beach. The students and staff alike enjoyed the range of fairground amusements on offer with brief pauses for food, namely ice cream!! Back in Cambridge, the students were given the opportunity to partake in a University question and answer session. The supervisor team answered a variety of questions on subjects such as courses, applications and extracurricular activities. Written by Toby, Supervisor
