As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Reach Cambridge, we reflect on two decades of giving students the chance to experience academic growth, personal development, and lifelong connections in historic Cambridge. Our journey from humble beginnings to becoming a transformative summer school experience has been remarkable, thanks to the incredible students, dedicated staff, and supportive families who have been part of this adventure.
One of our proudest achievements is the diverse community we’ve built, welcoming over 2500 students from over 105 different nationalities. This cultural richness has fostered an environment of mutual respect, global awareness, and lifelong friendships. To celebrate, we’ve invited some of our alumni students to reminisce, share stories, and tell us what made their time at Reach Cambridge special to them.
Lifelong Connections
One of the most rewarding aspects of Reach Cambridge is the lifelong connections formed during the programs. Our alumni network is a testament to the lasting impact of the Reach Cambridge experience. Many of our former students have gone on to achieve great success in various fields, and we take pride in knowing that Reach Cambridge played a part in their journeys.
Maria reflects on the profound impact of her Reach Cambridge experience:
“This experience was a catalyst in my decision to study law. Currently, I am an undergraduate student at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and I am interested in a postgraduate degree in commercial law. I also had the chance to make long-lasting friendships with my roommate and other students attending different courses varying from psychology to physics which helped me to broaden my horizons in other fields. Even though some of them live on different continents, we are still in touch. Through field trips, football games, paddling, and parties we shared memorable moments and a lot of laughter while we were staying in Cambridge. It is an honour to be an alumnus and I am wishing that this program will continue to provide the opportunity to young pioneers to learn about their dream fields of study and make a lot of valuable friends from all over the globe. I hope that in the future we will have the chance to meet again in our beloved Cambridge and share new social memories and legal knowledge!” – Maria, Greece.
