Summer 2023: Program 1 - Day 6

Day 6

Almost half-way through!

After an exciting day yesterday in London and a morning free from lessons, everyone felt refreshed and ready for Sport’s Day – sport has been extremely popular with our students this year, and everyone has found something that they can participate in and enjoy doing, with varying levels of seriousness. The firm favourite this year was the fancy dress race, with glittery tutus galore! Everything was on offer: from the nostalgic egg and spoon race, to rugby, football, rounders and lots more. For those students a bit tired from the week’s events, lots of arts and crafts were set up on the lovely, shaded pavilion. Arts and Crafts have been almost as popular as sport this week!

After a high energy afternoon, everyone sat down to enjoy a well-earned barbeque: we were so lucky that the weather (mostly) held. With lots of burgers, sausages, fruit and veg, everyone was seen enjoying their meals and having fun. It is so nice to see how quickly students are making friends and how much they are enjoying their time here. Our supervisors noted how the sports throughout the week has fostered lots of team-spirit and camaraderie amongst the students.

Many still had bundles of energy, and so we played lots of games in the evening, from Just Dance, to switch games as well as a riotous game of Werewolf Mafia! We are really excited to take our students to Warwick Castle tomorrow – where the entrancing bird show has been the talk of the town!

We have been taking lots of pictures of students having fun, so don’t forget to check these out on our Instagram and Tiktok on @reachcambridge !
