Today marks the end of Program 2, but it is finishing on a high note. This final day has been made extra-special because of its cooler temperature; refreshing after the heat of the last couple of days. Even though the day is continuing with a full-on set of activities as usual, there is still time to reflect that it has been wonderful getting to know the students. So many fond memories have been made.
Today began with the final set of morning classes, during which the students enjoyed their last academic activities and had the chance to say their final goodbyes to their classes. The Psychology students learned about the key components of neurons and even made some of their own. Meanwhile the Engineering students ended their classes with a literal bang – by setting off a rocket.

As this was the last day, the students also received their certificates. As you can see, they were very happy to receive this symbol of how much they have learned this program. We are very proud of them for all their hard work over the last two weeks.

The afternoon was filled with activities, including sports for those who wanted an energetic last day, and crafts for those who were looking for a more relaxed atmosphere. Our Program 2 taster courses ended with Coding, which has been a very popular choice among students.
As I write, we are now all together for the Departure Party! Here we’ve got poker, Jenga, card games, temporary tattoos, mocktails (my personal favourite is Tropical Sunset) and great music. The photo slideshow was all at once funny, exciting, and emotional, but now it’s time to dance, relax and celebrate the end of the program.
It has been amazing having you be part of the Reach family. Have a safe journey home, and we hope that your memories of this summer will live on in your hearts.
