A Day in the Life of Reach Cambridge!

After a morning of interesting lectures, there was an afternoon of well-attended, fun activities. Students interested in applying to University in the UK, and specifically Cambridge, were given the opportunity to go to the Admissions Office and ask questions about the application process. The supervisors also took students on a tour around the University Library, which the students found very insightful. A group also went swimming, and it was great to see them enjoying the water slides as well as trying to improve their techniques and speed. A music group was held in the Trinity Hall music room, where students were taught songs from the hit West End and Broadway musical, ‘Wicked’. The evening lecture was based on Journalism and the future of Twitter. It was a very thought-provoking, topical lecture and was especially useful for the Journalism and Politics students or those wanting to pursue a career in journalism. Afterwards, a large group of students went to a local venue for a Summer School disco, and it was fantastic to see so many students enjoying the music and dancing. Other students watched a film together on a big screen in Trinity Hall Lecture Theatre, and had a relaxing evening.
